Greenfield
Communications, Inc. (Greenfield) is pleased to offer
a new state of the art Fiber to the Home Telecommunication
System to all residents of the Lincoln Crossing Community.
Greenfield will design, construct and operate the Fiber
to the Home System. The System utilizes a PON (Passive
Optical Node) technology which allows voice, video and
high-speed data services to be delivered to each home
or condominium without the need of active electronics
in the outside plant (no above grade pedestals or power
requirements). This design enables services to be delivered
to residents with the highest levels of reliability.
The system is capable of providing High-speed Internet,
Cable TV, and voice services over a fiber optic line
to each home. Greenfield's initial service offering consists of High-speed Internet service with speeds
up to 8.0Mbps download and up to 3.0Mbps upload depends on location and will
also include a community Intranet. The fee for both
the High-speed Internet service and the community Intranet
will be included in each residents Home Owners Association
dues, without the need for any DSL or cable modems. The Fiber to the Home System
itself is capable of providing speeds up to 31 Mbps
per home, and since the system is also capable of carrying
voice and cable TV services, it allows the ability for
future competitive phone and cable TV services to all
residents.
Having a FTTH infrastructure affords a sense of future
proofing the "last mile" communications pipe
to each home. Residents of Lincoln Crossing will not
only be afforded faster data speeds and better quality,
they will also be able to take advantage of future technologies
and applications such as video-on-demand, video streaming,
HDTV, application hosting, interactive gaming, and any
other current of future broadband services. |
